Magna Glulam is Made by end-jointing small pieces of Merbau / Kwila timber to make long-lengths which are glued together under pressure using a durable, structural adhesive. It is a high quality timber product with Predictable Strength and in-service performance. It is available in a large range of beams, post & handrails which are particularly suited to external structures where the beauty of the rich red / brown timber is to be exposed.

Magna Glulam is produced by ETH Enterprise Pte Ltd., a Singapore based timber group, and their Indonesian partner, KDU (Kharisma Duta Utama), who have been specialising in Merbau timber production for almost 20 years.
ETH are committed to investing in the latest equipment to manufacture very high quality products from sustainable timber.
ETH values the close relationships it has built with distributers in Australia and New Zealand through its agent Simpson Woodstock Pty Ltd.

Manufactured to Australian Standards under the quality assurance scheme
KDU were one of the first in Indonesia to embark on the road to accreditation by the Forest Stweardship Council.
In 2012 KDU commissioned a new factory to produce Magna Glulam from Merbau off-cuts.
The factory sits on a 3.6 hectare site in Surabaya and employs about 350 workers using modern finger-jointing and laminating equipment. The operating manual for the factory was designed to comply with the stringent requirements of the Glue Laminated Timber Association of Australia (GLTAA).

Attractive Merbau (Kwila) timber glulam posts, beams and handrails that are strong, durable, termite proof, and fire resisting, come with a 15-year warranty. Designed for External Structural Applications but also suitable for fine joinery and furniture.
Merbau is one of the world’s toughest timbers. Not only is it strong, hard and straight it is naturally resistant to decay and termites.
It is slow burning and is approved for use in bushfire-prone areas.
