Installation Advisory and Product Use Disclosure
For the safe and proper installation of step treads, it is strongly recommended that customers use cup-head bolts with nuts as the primary fixing method. The use of coach screws installed from underneath is not advised, as excessive tightening may result in cracking or structural damage to the timber.
Timber must be sealed from all sides.
Customers are further advised that all steel components, including steel stringers, are subject to natural expansion and contraction over time. When timber is affixed to steel, these movements may place stress on the timber at its weakest points, including at or around the fixings. Improper installation, over-tightening, or failure to accommodate material movement may lead to premature deterioration or failure of the timber.
By using this product, the customer acknowledges and accepts responsibility for ensuring that:
Installation is carried out using the recommended method,
Appropriate allowances for material movement are incorporated, and
Fixings are tightened only to the extent required to secure the product without causing damage.
Failure to follow these guidelines may void warranties and reduce the product’s performance or lifespan.
