The Merbau (Kwila) species adds a rich reddish-brown hue that enhances outdoor projects. It’s finish-friendly and dimension-stable, with reduced twisting or warping compared with solid timber.

Ideal for verandah beams, rafters, and structural joists. Protect with appropriate oil or paint to guard against UV exposure and moisture. Keep dry before installation to avoid tannin staining. Not recommended for direct ground contact.
